Product Details

Manevac acts as a stimulant laxative (senna) by stimulating nerve endings in the bowel to help with movement but it also contains a bulking agent (isphagula) which helps the absorption of water in the bowel making stools easier to pass.

Directions

  • 5 - 10 mL at night and, if necessary, before breakfast.
  • Manevac should be placed dry on the tongue and, without chewing or crushing, swallowed whole with a glass of water or warm drink.
  • Obstinate cases, 10 mL six hourly for up to 3 days.
  • Not to be used in children under 5.

Ingredients

it contains; Granules, ispaghula 54.2%, tinnevelly senna fruits 12.4%.

Warnings

  • Use in caution with diabetes (due to high sugar content)
  • Blockage of the gut (intestinal obstruction)
  • Children under 5 years of age
  • Inflammation of the bowel and back passage (ulcerative colitis)
  • Inflammation of the mucous membrane of both small and large intestines (enterocolitis)
