Product Details


This is an effective treatment for spots and pimples. The active ingredient = benzoyl peroxide (2.5%)

It works by dissolving keratin, helping to remove layers of dead skin which block pores. It also has antibacterial activity against P. acnes. This bacterium can cause spots, preventing against future breakouts.

Directions

Adults and children over 6 years:
  • Apply to the affected areas once daily. Washing prior to application enhances the efficacy of the preparation. When first using product, a small amount should be used to test skins sensitivity.

Ingredients

Benzoyl peroxide 2.5% w/w.

Side Effects

During the first few days of treatment a moderate reddening and peeling will occur. During the first few weeks of treatment a sudden increase in peeling will occur in most patients.

This is not harmful and will normally subside within a day or two if treatment is discontinued. If excessive irritation, redness or peeling occurs, discontinue use.

Warnings

Shouldn't be used for those with known hypersensitivity to benzoyl peroxide.

Avoid contact with the eyes, mouth and mucous membranes. Care should be taken when applying the product to the neck and other sensitive areas.

Avoid excessive exposure to sunlight and other sources of ultra violet light.

The product may bleach dyed fabrics.
